Another term is coming to an end. Every year at this time I feel really happy to have been able to teach all my students. I don't care what issues I may have with my employer (which at the moment are minimal, if not 0), problems I may have with the nature of being a foreign person in Korea (which compared to problems I might face in a lesser developed places is pretty minimal). Truth is, I feel really lucky to be doing what I'm doing in a country I find so interesting. I just can't go home. Been there, done that for a long time. Korea still remains an interesting place and teaching my students has proved to be really enjoyable.

Hope everyone out there in K-land is having a good one.

There's always 200+ other countries for you to find interesting and enjoyable as well.

I know how you feel. I felt it each year I re-signed at each job (five times, as spent 3.5 and 3.0 years at each of two wonderful jobs here).

(I wish I could say the same today. But the new job I started in April just isn't my cup of tea. A sweet gig but just not like the two jobs I had before, and I'm not appreciating the adjustment. Anyways...)

For the first time in Korea, it's the end of term and I still like my job. Got a long list of things to do differently next term, but I still enjoyed the experience.

Nearing the end of my second term at my new job and the end of my eighth year teaching at universities.

I'm tired from grading and prep and ready for vacation, but it's a good kind of tired and I'm still loving it all.

I feel much the same. I can't believe how quickly this past year has gone by.
