Hi. Im currently teaching at a private school in the UK and I have a Korean student here. She is leaving next month to go to Seoul and asked me if I could help her find a school in Korea, where the teacher(s) have a British accent. She's an adult and isnt looking to get ripped off in a 'private conversation lesson', she is looking for a school. Ill relay any suggestions to her.

She's an adult? So she can go shopping around the adult language schools here, like Pagoda for example, and request a British teacher. Shouldn't be too hard.

Ha! Someone came up to me yesterday with precisely the same request. She is preparing for her IELTS and wants someone with a British accent.

Too bad I am not in Seoul Wink

British Council anyone?

They might not be the cheapest in town but at the very least you're guaranteed someone who has a CELTA (ie knows how to teach) and they PROBABLY have a bit of experience if they're in Seoul.

Of course some Koreans can end up confused when they learn that an accent from Glasgow or one from Belfast, or one from Cardiff, or one from Edinburgh, or one from Leeds, or one from the outskirts of St. Andrews, or one from London or one from Bournemouth or one from Upper Derby are not all the same. But it's good for them non-the-less.
