I was actually looking for honey, and wound up in this category:

http://global.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_search/search_total.asp?page=1&prev_keyword=honey&sort_field=&page_size=&gdlc_cd=100000057&gdmc_cd=&gdsc_cd=&value_id1=&value_id2=&value_id3=&price_unit=&brand_nm=&maker_nm=&gd_state=&maker_no=&link_type=LIST&SearchClassFormWord=goodsSearch&anchor_flag=Y&HalbumonthYN=&DiscCouponYN=&RtnOldGdYN=&DelFeeX=&isKR=&isMulti=N&OverSeaTrans=&gdlc_nm=DIAPERS%2C+POWDERED+MILK+%26+HYGIENIC+BAND&gdmc_nm=&gdsc_nm=&trad_way=&premium_brand_yn=&brand_no=&show_more_yn=N&keyword=honey&search_type=goods

(And what's up with this incredibly long url? Are they trying to set a world record? Readers outside of Korea, good luck opening Gmarket pages in less than an hour.)

Would you believe Gmarket has a category that lumps diapers and powdered milk together? Then tosses in diaper/functional/adult and feminine hygiene products for good measure?

http://global.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_category/category.asp?gdlc_cd=100000057

I suppose I can see a certain warped logic to it, but wouldn't it make more sense to put powdered milk in the dairy section? And what does this have to do with diapers:

http://global.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=158457083&pos_shop_cd=SH&pos_class_cd=111111111&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=honey

This is not the only Twilight Zone moment I have had on Gmarket. One time, while trying to find some normal men's briefs, I came across the weirdest underware I have ever had the misfortune to see. It was ribbed and looked like something a Klingon would wear into battle. I wonder what Freud would say?

I gave up, and after some effort, finally found men's underpants in the X Mart-uh. Next to the bras and children's underwear. With the most bizarre, X-rated pictures on the men's shorts, all with the male member on anemic white boys in the same improbable pose. What is the message here? Why are they putting X-rated underwear pictures next the the little boys and girls underwear?

Of course, they were all sized for diminutive Korean males, circa 1950, much like the shrimpy socks they still sell. Hasn't anyone noticed that Koreans aren't Hobbit sized anymore?

Haha.. I was challenged (or suckered) by your statement "Readers outside of Korea, good luck opening Gmarket pages in less than an hour"

Each of your links opened instantaneously!

The greatest problem I have is getting Dave's pages to open in a similar manner!

Try searching it in Korean, then clicking English once you've found what you need. Much simpler that way.

It's not really gmarket's fault in a way - it's the advertiser/seller who types in all kinds of weird search terms.

Anyway, honey in Korean is: 꿀

The "powdered milk" is infant formula (which ends up recycled back into the baby's diaper at the end of the day).

The sellers or whoever is posting these ads don't know how to categorize items like they way they do on eBay. I find stuff out of dumb luck of searching where if I find one thing I like, I search the other items that seller listed. I want some good Polo and Nautica button down shirts as well as Dockers. While I find a few listings, they're probably where I'm not looking. Often with American market things that didn't come through Costco, they seller can't get it and refunds your money.

Here's your honey. http://global.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=160151930&pos_shop_cd=SH&pos_class_cd=111111111&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=HONEY

It took a long time for me to find 2 months ago scrolling through 7 to 10 pages when I bought one and they have them as Costco supplies it.
