I need to see a beach, and soon. Does anyone know of any secluded/quiet beaches near Seoul? I just want somewhere to go and relax and read.

Go to Incheon Port. There are several islands you can go to. Here is my blog post about it. http://koreaninkorea.blogspot.com/2008/06/days-of-adventure.html

Try Jakyak Island (off the coast of Yeongjong Island), which is a short ferry ride from Incheon. It is small (about 500m long) and fairly quiet. It was the historic anchorage for both the French in 1866 and the Americans in 1871; three Americans were buried there somewhere. You can find a few pics (1871 and nowadays) here: http://www.shinmiyangyo.org/nthumbs.html

You guys stayed overnight on the island? Were there any facilities on the island at all? How crowded was it?

Can you provide more information on how to get there? Like do I get off Incheon subway station and look for the ferry? Is there a phone number?
