At my high school, we use what most public schools have as their instant messaging client, Cool Messenger. Most people on the server use something like their name or a funny emoticon attached to their name. Everyone can see the subtitled note on your username. Today I noticed someone had changed his/her Cool Messenger tag line to this: dumb boss+dumb employee=overtime.

Apparently, this man was removed from his position as Chief of the Technology Department because he got into an argument with the VP. He didn't come into work yesterday, but today he's back with his new tag line, which I'm sure the Principal and Vice Principal saw this morning. This is the same man who got drunk last year at a school get-together and was cursed out by the Principal. He also punishes students by gnawing their ears. Yes, he really does that, and students have complained about it. He's just weird. He's got long black hair and dead, sunken eyes. He doesn't speak English at all, so I think he just looked up these insulting words to attach to his username.

Last year, he verbally harassed the nicest English teacher because she wasn't married. He called her a lesbian among other things many, many times. After convincing her to go to the Principal, she finally went. When she broke the news to the principal about, he said little harm had been done. His rationale? The man was obviously wrong because there are not lesbians in Korea and therefore she couldn't be one. No sexual harassment, no foul, nothing wrong. She quit because of all this.

I removed his real Korean name on the attached image.

Interesting - perhaps I'll have to start checking Cool Messenger instead of always deleting them when they pop up.
