Buying a sports bike and looking to buy some gear at a decent price. Specifically: Leather suit (1 piece or 2 piece), gloves and boots. Anyone got any info as to where I can get some used or at a good price new?

Thanks.

Do you know the area in Seoul called Toegyero 5-ga? Go to Dongdaemun Stadium Station and walk towards Chungmuro station. That road follows Line 4 and would eventually lead you to Myeongdong and Seoul Station.

Before you are halfway to Chungmuro you will get to Toegyero 5-ga and all the motorcycle and scooter shops. On your right you will see the Arai helmet store. 2 doors down is an accessory shop with an orange-red awning. That is where I buy all my gear. Depending on who is there, they may speak a little or a lot of English. Very foreigner friendly regardless of good or bad language skills.

What size are you? I may have what you're looking for, at least for a 2 piece leather suit and boots. both really.. almost new condition. They're rather big, but.. if you're 6"2~6"4 or so and not too chunky, they'll do. I also have some size 12 AGV racing boots to go with the suit. Send me a PM if you're interested and we'll talk!

Thanks for the reply Bibbitybop, I'm gonna go check in a few weekends.

IlIlNine: I guess I should of posted my size... I'm 5'7" with a size 10 shoe. Unfortunately don't think the 2 piece will fit me Sad But thanks for the reply.

Is there any sites selling used gear? I've looked at auction but not much there. You'd figure they'd be a few places to look. Is there a shop on Itaewon?

Hey v1y,
I was at a shop in Itaewon and they had a lot of 1 piece suits, or jackets...they basically carry everything to wear.
Check out this website http://www.maxler.co.kr/
His in house collection is pretty big and he has a storage place nearby where he has some bigger sizes. It isn't very far to walk from, i think it was near Burger King on the second floor.

Thanks Durtee!! He seems to have tons of stuff. A lot of the leather suits are relatively cheap. What did the quality look like?

The gear looked good as well as the quality. They have named brands as well as some house products. I wanted to buy some stuff but I was pressed for time and had to run out the door after 30 minutes. I ended up buying a pair of Maxler gloves before I left though and am very happy with them.
Nice guys too and are willing to help out.
