Hi,
Can anyone give my some help as to what Cheong ju is like to live in?
Nightlife/bars/shops/ex-pats/things to do/cost of living/mountains?
Thanks a lot |

The area around Chungbuk University has the most bars and foreigners. Try Road King and MJ's. My friends that live there love the expat community. They really have some pride for the city and everyone seems to get along.
Having Songrisan nearby isn't too bad, either, and if you have a motorcycle, there are excellent roads in the forests. |

It's okay if you don't need a big city lifestyle. Central Seoul is only 1.5 hours away by bus. Cheongju is good for a year then move on. Others who don't seem to get a little crusty. |
