Do men get paternity leave in Korea? I've heard that there is a new law passed about a year ago saying they do. Can someone verify this please? And if you have a link, that would be great also. I have a little one due in a couple weeks.
Thanks in advance. |

Unfortunately, men are entitled only to 3 days of UNPAID paternity leave. Moms get 90 days of paid maternity leave, which may be taken in as many as two discrete increments at any time, up until the child is 3 years old. It's possible your employer could offer benefits in excess of these, but these are the statutory minimums.

Just a hunch but I can't imagine too many hagwons being too enthusiastic about giving out that 90 days of paid leave either. Hell even getting 3 days off unpaid would be difficult at a lot of places. |
