That's really freaking Slim and all but I hope it can be removed from that massive brick of a base, otherwise it'll be darn hard to mount on a wall. |

Yes, it doesn't require the brick base; that's just a stand though it will be dependent on a box that can be mounted elsewhere to tune into HDTV channels or a computer to play video on it with the wiring hidden in the wall or the table it sits on in it's base. That TV is exactly as thin as my notebook lid containing the same sort LCD. For years, I've thought TV's could be thin like this one as the notebook LCD's have been thin for quite some time. They just didn't build a large thin one due to not wanting to take a risky investment on the expensive manufacturing equipment designed for big screen production, but now it's been done.
We could also go mine the moon and colonize Mars with current tech right now, but it's too expensive in financial terms though someday we'll probably do it by spending excess monies held for so long. Baby steps 1st to build up money for the big one even though the, "big one," is possible with today's tech. |

So, it's thin. What else does it do? More importantly, what does it do that you existing fat TV didn't do?
I'm waiting, consumerist pigs. |

The thinner the tv is - the more convenient ( its light, doesn't take up much space and can easily be hung on the wall)
I could just imagine the 47" tv hanging on my wall - so much better than the huge fat tv that is sitting on a table and collecting dust |

LEDs are the future of big screen TVs, but they're too expensive now. Plus I believe Samsung is better than LG in the big TV department. |
