Or is it Gimhae? Have a job offer for Kimhae. Any views on this place? Is it near Busan and what is the nightlife like? Also is it near the beach? Many foreigners there? Recommend it?
Thanks! |

Well this is an old thread but I live in Gimhae and really like it. Its a big enough place that there is enough to do for me, on a regular basis and its easy to hop over to Busan when I want a big city. There is great hiking trails here and its only a bout 30-40 mins from Hayundau beach. PM me if there is anything els I can tell you about the place. ITs an old thread so I dont know if you are still considering Gimhae or not. There are lots of foreigners here and at least two irish that I know of |

My bad I was looking at his join date not the post date. Yeah the hills are steep but its GREAT hiking! Taking a hiking buddy and a cell phone so all will be well. Gimhae is a nice place to live I think but if you are really craving the big city scene 24/7 go to Busan or Seoul. If you want a small town this is also not the place to come. However it is a happy middle ground. |

lol Why did you make a seemingly serious post about the hiking? Sarcastic I hope... or dread... |

Is everyone really going to comment on my posts and ignore the OPs question? |

It's near Changwon and Masan as well, both of which are nice towns. It just depends on what you're looking for. If it's a nice area outside of a larger city then go for it. Buses to Busan leave every 10 mins from Changwon and are dirt cheap, usually takes 45 mins.
If you're coming over and nightlife is a huge factor you may want to look elsewhere. |
