My six year old son loves playing drums and is quite good at it, so we bought him a normal drum set. we realized later that it wasn't the right choice as the neighbours complain. so we now would like to buy him an electronic drum kit so that we can control the volume.. ( i presume). pls mail me the details with picture to [email protected]

Not sure if this is what you had in mind, but I'm selling a USB drum kit on eBay right now. (actually the listing ended without a buyer)

It's the kind that's intended more for practice or learning - not for gigging.

Anyway, here's the URL;

http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-Digital-Drum-Kit-Great-for-Practice-or-Learner_W0QQitemZ300306015157QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item300306015157&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

Check it out and if you think it may do, PM me and we can try to work things out.

I showed interest in Johnny Conqueroo's electronic drum set a while back. He only wanted to meet if I was going to pay for it off the street (made up some excuse that he would otherwise be very busy, I don't quite trust that type of behavior). He would not let me check it out before buying.

So, I declined. If the situation has changed and he is willing to let people test it out before dishing out money, then I suggest you check it out. If the OP isn't interested and I can check it out before buying, I would like to do that.

To lifeinkorea:

Hopefully this explanation will put this matter to rest with you forever (although I know that's not likely).

Frankly, I'd had some disappointing circumstances with you before - you seemed childish and you behave like someone I wouldn't like to transact any business with - not even casual business. Frankly your PMs were oblique and weird, and I did not see you as a sincere buyer. Nor do I now. It's curious how you always seem to reply to posters looking to sell something, and engage them in a Q&A, but I wonder if you've actually ever bought anything?

It seems that you cruise this site looking to engage in fractious exchanges like this one, and that strikes me as sad and pathetic. Because of that, and my other instincts about you, I determined that you are a time-waster, and I decided not to enter into ANY business with you at all. Not for any sum, nor for any item; I simply discharged you. If you had any savvy at all, you might have picked up on that and moved on, but no! here you are dredging up meaningless old issues and implying negative things about me for - what...? [quote="lifeinkorea"] I don't quite trust that type of behavior.quote] What on earth would anyone have to gain from casting aspersions on me like that? Are you such an emotional lightweight that all you can do is troll this board looking for ways to vent? Quote: " hatred is the coward's revenge for being intimidated..." - George Bernard Shaw

Grow up! Life's too short to be so foolishly callow.

Anyway, to Kaya (the originator of this post), if you are interested in my drum set, PM me and we can work out the details. I've bought and sold several items through this forum, and have references who would gladly attest to my excellent reputation. By the way Kaya, if you check the eBay listing I sent you, please have a look at my feedback. If you do, you'll see a PERFECT rating on OVER 1900 transactions. I'm sure you know that one doesn't earn that by whining like a child because someone rejected them. One earns that by putting one's money where one's mouth is. Again, and again, and again...

Lifeinkorea, I suggest that you actually go get one (a life in Korea that is...) and stop being such a preening twit. I have over 17 years here in Korea, and you don't successfully survive here that long by being an a$$h*le. And don't bother inquiring about any items I might ever list to sell in the future. I will not sell anything to you, ever! You're just not worthy.

Kaya, PM me if you like.

Johnny Conqueroo,

If you don't want to do business with me, that's fine. However, I don't see how it is childish to request playing on your set before purchasing. I made a specific note that I was concerned about the surface of the pads. I don't see how you got anything negative from me.

As far as seriousness goes, I was and still am serious if you let me check out your set and play on it before buying. I don't want to pay 700,000 won for a set, so your set being just over 100,000 is worth looking into. I stress, looking into.

What you told me in PMs was that you were busy and that if I wasn't going to buy them right at the station where we were to meet you'd rather not meet. I then PM'd back (if you still have them) and asked if this was really the case. You confirmed it was, and I assumed you were content on selling it on Ebay (which would have also meant the same, the buyer would not have been able to test out the kit).

Now, I get the impression that since you didn't get the sale you hoped for on Ebay, you are trying to save face and flame me.

In defense, yes I have bought things. I bought 3 guitars, 1 computer, 2 laptops, 1 scanner, 1 ipod, traded for a video camera, and today I just went to Bundang to buy CDs from Sarbonn.

When I sell items, I often go to the buyer also (all have been in Seoul and require 2 hour trips one way which I don't ask for any reimbursement from the buyer). Normally, this doesn't happen. Usually, the buyer goes to the seller, like I was willing to go to you to check out your kit.

I try to be as fair and give more than what the buyer expects. This means I bring extras they don't expect.

If it doesn't sell and you let me look at it before buying, I would be interested in meeting with you as before. Good luck with your sale. I sincerely feel you got the wrong impression about me. Please consider taking a second look and maybe you'll see something else.

Kaya,

My first post was intended for you and any other buyers interested. It doesn't matter what his Ebay page says. What matters is that you get a working drum kit. So, I suggest you not buy it if he pulls the same thing he did with me. Make sure he lets you test it out. Looking out for one another here is not a crime. I don't feel guilty for giving you the heads up. Good luck either way, both of you.
