The girl that I have been seeing asked me to take her to a jjimjilbang this Friday night. I'm a lesbian. She's never been to a jjimjilbang. I go about twice a week- but the bare-bones sort of establishments.
Basically, I want to take her to an AWESOME jjimjilbang. I keep reading about these places that have all sorts of herbal pools and hot tubs on the roof . . . Can anyone recommend a deluxe jjimjilbang? Like the biggest/nicest you know of? Preferably around the Sinchon area, or Gangnam, but we can travel . . .

| I think the best one is in Yongsan Station. It's called the Dragon Hill Spa. Entrance is about 12,000 won per person but it's definitely worth it. They got everything there from rooftop restaurants to a mini-movie theater. |

So if you're walking around in a shower room with a bunch of naked women, and one of them looks particularly hot, do you feel slightly naughty for wanting to check her out, or do you keep your eyes fixed on the floor so you won't feel guilty about lusting after her without her permission?

My first time in a Korean bath house was really awkward. I was the only foreigner in there and all the Korean men were staring at me. It took me a while to realize that the reason they were staring is because I have such an... just kidding, this didn't happen! And you were ready to send an angry response, weren't you? I expect they stare because it looks like I have a bear cub strapped to my chest and I'm not circumcised.
And for the love of god people if you're going to circumcise everyone do it when they're born..not after they've gotten used to it at age 10.. |

Any idea how common these kinds of jimjilbangs are? I think someone else was looking for something like this. |

I've been to Dragon Hill Spa as well, its the best one I've ever been to. They have an outdoor courtyard with hottubs etc. - I was there a couple of months ago, but if you're brave they're probably still open! And they have two or three different types of saunas, a few different herbal tubs. Oh, and this really cool sort of waterfall in the cold tub!
I recommend it for sure  |
