I have 47 first graders, well mostly first grade maybe some kindergarten in there too, jammed into a classroom. I'm so tired of this class. It really is difficult to figure out something new to do each week. The kids dont have a textbok, and games are difficult with that age and with so many. Singing works, but you can only sing so long. Sometimes we watch short movies but i feel like a crappy teacher when we watch movies.

Any ideas would be more than greatly appreciated.

I use Genki English for my 3rd grade after school class. It includes, songs, flashcards, and games. It keeps them active.

You should have money for your afterschool class. You can download it and start using that day.

Also, I use We are Busy Beavers for winter and summer camps. It has videos, songs, writing, and games. The online version is like 50,000 won and the company lets you print the worksheets from the internet and you can print as many as you want. You just cannot print the textbooks for the students.

With each system you don't have to buy books.

I use the 2 programs to fill in the gaps for my regular elementary school book. I purchased both programs myself before I started to work in the public elementary school. It has saved me alot of time because I don't have to surf the internet as much looking for materials for my classes.
