I've been trying to find a post office to send a few boxes home, and I honestly have never seen one anywhere near my neighborhood in Gangnam (near Daechi_Dong...walking distance from CoEx Mall). I've seen one in Itaewon once, but I really don't want to have to lug three big boxes to Itaewon from where I live.
Someone at work told me she thought there was one at CoEx Mall, but I've been through that mall so many times, and I have no idea where inside it one might be. Does anyone know? I mean, the place is huge so I could have walked right past it and not known, so can someone chime in with some knowledge on the subject? I'd really appreciate it. |

OK, there is a post office at COEX, though it's not in the main mall area.
From Samsung Stn. Exit 5- To the left of the Grand Intercontinental Hotel there are 2 buildings - The one in the front on the corner (Hyundai) and one behind it (Airport Terminal building, where the post office is.) Outside behind the GI hotel is a glass pyramid, the Airport Terminal building with the post office is to the left of this.
I know it's not the best directions, but if you're familier with COEX you should be able to make it to the right area and then find an info counter.
Hope this helps.

yes they are there all around daichi - but in the smaller streets because (probably) real estate is cheaper than on the main drags like tehrano
try asking around the area and look for the big orange-red signs with the logo on them - they point to where the p.o.s are located |

Yep, Kiknkorea is right. There's the one in City Air Tower. I think you can get in through City Air Terminal. That is a good one because they speak English well enough (I had to send some registered mail, and it was easy from there).
There is also one in Daechi-4-Dong, near Hanti Station. I can't remember the exact directions, but if you could ask someone for directions from Hanti. Like Moosehead said, it's on one of the back roads. I can't vouch for their English speaking skills because I was with a korean speaking friend when I went there. |

I tried to find the one near Hanti station today, but failed. I even found a map inside the station that said there was a postal agency in a certain direction 200 (units of measure) away but I couldn't find it at all. I asked people in the station and asked people on the street, and even when asking in Korean they stared at me like I was speaking Russian. |

gah...how annoying... ok, I just looked at a map and went for a walk to double check, so if you still want them, here are the actual directions to the Post Office at Hanti. From exit 1, turn right and walk north with Lotte Department Store on your right. Walk to the 3rd street on the right and turn right (there's a Paris Baguette on the corner). The post office is on your right about 3 stores down. Hope this info isn't too late for you. |

Thank you! Thank you!
No, this is not too late. I was out this evening trying to find it and not succeeding. This will make things so much easier tomorrow morning (was going to have to lug boxes to CoEx Mall instead).
Thank you again. I GREATLY appreciate it. |

head into the area of COEX where the exhibits go on (street level- enter through the doors which are behind and between hotel intercontinental and hyundai dept. store), you should be able to see it right when you walk in.
if you enter the building through another door, just look for the yamaha music store, the sony store, chosun hotel coffee shop/deli/restaurant and/or the middle escalators (which head downstairs, into COEX and the bandi & lundi bookstore area).
there's also a tiny post office in daechi, not far from daechi intersection, hana bank, and the newly remodeled daechi market, but it's on a back street, and kind of tough to explain how to get to, since there are really no landmarks, except for a bunch of small beauty salons.
the maps for all the post offices are really vague

if you really need to get to the daechi one, pm me. i work right across from casamia. |
