Hey; I'm going to Fukuoka and I want to bring back quite a bit of beer--Chimay, Hitachino Nest, Delirium Tremens, etc.

How much can I bring back either on the plane or stow-away?

As far as I know, stowaway? NONE! (but wrap it well, I've never been nailed)

Carry-on? As much as you want. You must have a few carry-on items. Spread it out.

really, take as much as you can carry. they're looking for scotch. if they get uppity, then apologise, stammer, shrug, beg!
Beer should not ever be a problem. never was for me.

Unless you buy everything in Duty free, how are you going to carry liquids on the plane with you? They're definitely larger than 100mls! Doesn't sound like you'll take the ferry. Good luck with wrapping them in your check-in bags.

OK, beer run to Japan. Wow, that's desparate to get some good brew. LOL.

I went to a Home Plus in Seoul and bought 20 bottles of 500ml Erdinger and it was very heavy. And I mean very heavy like as in 40 to 50 pounds too heavy to fly with, but I was going by bus and muscling it around.

I see no problem with getting a 6 pack or even a 12 pack of something special. Forget about putting anything in your carryon unless it's a 100 ml bottle or smaller due to that dumb liquids rule that even applies to a regular bottle of water. Bring bubble wrap if you can for the bottles as they really throw luggage and hundreds of pounds might ride on top of it. One time, I entered the states with 12 bottles of Italian wine in my check on with no problems, except one bottle broke and the bag came off the conveyer belt leaking red merlot.
