The Pirate Party of Germany is circulating the Petition Against the German Federal Governments plan to establish a censorship system for the Internet. This plan is specifically for Germany and is now in progress; nevertheless foreigners inside and outside of Germany can also sign.

Foreigners & Germans can support the German Petition Against Web Site Censorship Filters in Germany. (In France this is already Law). I believe if this isnt stopped now it will soon be law in all of the EU equal to the kind of Internet Censorship practiced in China.

ATT: - The Petition Deadline is Tuesday 16th of June - click on:
http://www.piratenpartei-bayern.de/Signing_the_e-petition_for_Non-Germans

The deadline for signing though is tomorrow. So hurry if you want to support the protest against censorship on the Internet in Germany: Later I believe this will most certainly spread to the US and the rest of the world affecting everyone living on the planet. Thus, the world might soon have adopted the Internet Censorship methods on mainland China! When and where will this tendency ever stop?!

That's almost unreal that Germany would censor the internet as Germany is quite tolerant and even liberal and open minded from a cultural perspective. I can't think of any other small country as worldly thinking outside the box as Germany. Honest. How could they?

It appears the whole world is moving towards fewer freedoms and opportunities. Call it a social downturn if you will.

I agree that it is surprising for Germany.

It can't hurt to sign. I hope you did.
