Um, for the ten people who are going to the mime festival, tonight's Friday madness event has been canceled.
I wish that someone had posted more clear info on the Mime Festival site. T . T
And I wish that the international acts and events were on the weekend, but whatever. |

It just goes to show how truly "International" it has become now. It was great a few years back, now it's just another excuse for overworked parents to take their kids out and watch sub-par performances, mostly in Korean. |

When a Korean teacher asked me today what I'm doing this weekend, I told her I was going to Chuncheon and she said the Mime Festival has been canceled for Korea to mourn over the loss of the former president. Is it really true that it's canceled for Saturday and Sunday? She also said many other festivals scheduled for this weekend are canceled as well. |

No, it hasn't been totally cancelled, just the all night party/rave stuff on Fri/Sat nights. During the day, there're still performances. It's not on Wido/Guseomdochi island this year, but in Gongjicheon, not too far from the bus terminal just down the street from the downtown area.
Still, the acts they're advertising this year are a far cry from the talent they've attracted in years past, unfortunately... |

The events tonight are still on and going until 5am - I'd call that all night. Friday was cancelled but tonight isn't, come on out if you're in the area! |
