I decided to do my work as usual and then leave my relations only outside the company.

But I am thinking to discuss this situation in some way with my team leader,
I want to know do koreans welcome discussing such issues openly?

If during the discussion I explain my feelings, not in an extreme way, but I want to show them things from my own perspective?

Ur suggestions please Question

hmm seconded,

lacks specifics....

I want to respond but it's so abstract I'm not really sure what you are even talking about.

Specifically OP why would you need to talk to your opinions to the team leader?

dur
Do you drink?
If you do then go drinking together with team leader/or team mates and get plastered. Then you can say anything without any repercussions.
If alcohol induced tongue loosener is not an option, then I can't think of anything else, since for K men that's the only time they are truely free. Plastered, bladdered, whaling or what ever.

more info. please...I have been in situations recently where I needed to discuss ideas with folks at my school and they just aren't "accessible" when sober. This sounds awful and I don't usually drink but I did the soju thing and it helped.

I disagree. I'm sure the OP is extremely literate and fluent in his or her original language...and quite good for someone for whom English is a second language.

I would recommend you be careful what you say on this thread, as it is going to be translated and posted on Daum or Naver.

I was pretty darn sure dur was Korean just from reading this thread...but then I checked his or her posting history...the first post in this thread was his or her first post on Dave's. So that quote I've captured there is how he or she (for some reason I think it is a "she") is telling you to go back and re-read her OP.

Please trust me, there is a 95% chance the OP is Korean and is trying to troll up a thread of Korean bashing to post on a Korean website. There is a 5% chance that the OP is from the Phillipines and is genuinely curious. But there are is no way a native speaker uses the syntax she uses. So just be aware of what her intent is here. I recommend that everyone posts messages along the lines of how awesome Koreans are, Kimchi is great (but a little too spicy), and hangeul is the most scientific alphabet.

Well,
I do know how to express what I feel because of those Koreans.
I work for a company here and I am helping them a great deal in developing their project, but they donot talk to me only when there is some thing related to the work. Sometimes, I spend days here without uttering a word even when I try to say sth. just to start some conversation, they will say only two or three words and it is done.
They make feel down. I realy do not know how to behave with them, outside the company I have many Korean firends and it is not difficult for me to have freidns, but inside this company, it is getting like hell.

Ur suggestions please.....

I made a mistake before...the OP started a previous thread. And this was the first post. The reason I was confused was because the previous thread had the EXACT same title as this one.

In other words, there was really no reason to start a new thread with the same title...all the OP had to do was reply to a post in the old thread, or even just reply "BUMP".

So why didn't she? The old thread included posts like:

Quote:
OP, are you Korean?

Quote:
me thinks the OP might be Chinese.

and the last post on the thread was...

Quote:
You write like a retarded person. Maybe you act like one, too?

Edit: It has come to my attention, via my conscience, that dur likely isn't a native English speaker. If that is in fact the case, I apologize. However, if I am correct in my initial response, dude...

So basically, it was necessary to make a new thread with the same title because her cover was blown.

It was somewhat distressing to me that some people on this thread gave the OP genuine advice without realizing that the OP was not a native english speaker...I am of the opinion that an ESL teacher should recognize the writing of an ESL student without much difficulty. But I realize that many people on this thread are new to the ESL game, so I understand. After you grade a couple hundred essays you will realize that is almost impossible for a Korean to write like a native English speaker...the languages are just too different.

But for you newcomers to ESL, I must warn you that Koreans know of this website, and they often come here, read anti-Korean posts, and translate and post them on Koreans websites in order to prove how horrible we all are. Frankly, I don't understand why it's necessary to start a new thread to do so, as 90% of the threads on this website contain at least *some* anti-korean material...I guess the OP got a little cocky.

To summarize: Be cautious when you see some weird syntax on this site, and be super duper cautious when you read a post written by "dur".

Why would the OP need to start a thread to find some dirt, just do a couple of searches on previous threads.

It could be that the op is a foreign worker in Korea from a non-english speaking country....

Just a thought Mr Holmes...

You didn't quite nail the "quote" function with your post, AC...but I will respond anyway.

It's possible, but think of how odd it is that the OP is posting on a website written for and by people who do not speak her (again, I think it is a girl for some reason) original language. For instance, I am a native English speaker, but I did take 4 years of Spanish in college...so I am at least somewhat fluent in Spanish. But if I were to work in another country [non-Spanish speaking], it simply wouldn't occur to me to ask for advice on a SPANISH message board. What an odd thing to do! I would go to a message board written in my original tongue. I guarantee you, there is a message board somewhere written in the OP's original language about living and working in Korea.

The OP had another thread with the exact same title, but the OP abandoned her original thread when people started accusing her of being Korean. That is suspicious to me.

You called me "Mr. Holmes"...I assume you were being sarcastic, but I take it as a compliment as I am a huge fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

I realize you are new to this site AC, but trust me I'm not being paranoid. Koreans *do* read it and translate the posts in Korean on anti-foreigner websites. It's been proven many times. I always try to remember that, and try to be respectful to our hosts in this country, which I would recommend to all posters on this website.
