I remember seeing a post on here a while back talking about getting the medical done for cheap - as in 10,000 - if you go somewhere like the local GU medical clinic or something.
I'd rather do this than cough up the W60,000~80,000 regular places ask seeing as I'll be paying for the whole thing (school is cheap).
So what was the magical place to get cheap medicals - can anyone dig up that old thread? |

| If that 10,000 place exists, I think we'd all appreciate knowing. |

I found what I was looking for here:

It may be faster with a pivate hospital but definitely much, much more expensive. I did it at a private one someting like 3 years ago and it cost about 50,000 won at the time. |
But then later:

The required docs for an ARC are
- A copy of business registration
- A medical certificate (including TBPE test and HIV test) by national/public/general hospital.
So, can anyone else comment on this? Do these "Bogunso" or a government run clinics count as a national hospital, and can you get a full medical for cheaper? |

Yes Please someone please update this thread!
I actually had a cheap medical done last year for my ARC.
I just don't know where the hospital was, because my school took me there.
It was 1,500 won.
My new school sent me to a hospital in Dongdaemun, where it's 68,000 won.
I do not want to spend that extra $! |

Local govt clinic (boghwansa) does the medical checks for about 20.000 (last year, price might have gone up.)
Blood test
Urine check
Chest x-ray
They have 2 tests available; 1 for regular employment (teachers) and another for people who work with food. |

It's bizarre that the prices vary so drastically depending on where you go ..... the hospital I went to last year was in Mok-dong, near immigration.
I just am not sure where cuz my company drove me there.
I'd much rather pay 1,500 than 68,000. I've even heard of some hospitals charging 90,000! |
