You can try the Namyang Horse Riding Club at 031-356-8421.
They are located outside of Suwon. i've never tried to call or go there but always thought about it. Let me know if it works out. |

Apparently stables and clubs are very expensive here, due to the lack of suitable areas to go riding and the costs of looking after the animals... I love riding, but I wouldn't bother here..Much cheaper in Ireland or Zimbabwe where every farmer for miles around has his own horses and at least several acres of fields to use. |

I heard that riding here consisted of being lead around a circle. |

Yeah- I don't think there's much space here to go on a long gallop over the plains like i used to in Africa...wonderful.
Here , i can imagine the nightmare politics and arguments any stables would have getting permission to ride all over some miserable farmers rice paddies...Theres also just too many people in korea, to make riding anywhere a safe occupation. can you imagine Koreans unexpectedly coming face to face with a horse while out tending their veggie patch? they'd go berserk and spook the horse into the middle of next week. You know how silly they are around animals... |

I imagine most Koreans have never seen a horse in person. |
