What they didn't tell you is - now you're playing 'K baseball' and the rules are different:
Strike one - too many sick days (blaming these on K Dr. incompetence only allows you to keep swing the bat as long as you're hospitalised)... foul!
Strike two - you told them you were considering 'moving'.

Under 'K rules', you only get two strikes.

WTF were you thinking?

Yea, I guess I am fucked for these two reasons. I'm just hoping I can teach next door in Masan. I really wanted to move to Elementary School very badly. My friend does it and the kids are a job to work with almost 100% of the time, he's done with classes by noon 95% of the time, and the classes are 40 minutes instead of 45.

I'm seeing this as an opportunity, but it's quite maddening to just be flat denied and not even pass on the reasons to my principal. Maybe it's just a power trip on their part? They want to make me beg for the reason why?

Honestly, I couldn't give less of a *beep* if that's what they want. I took a huge pay cut to come to Korea and I'm not about to bow to people that want to play games.

Since you'll probably have to leave SK, you might try going home and going through the process all over again for EPIK or even Gepik or SMOE or EPIG in an elementary school. You would go home, use a recruiter, get new documents, and start over to see if you can get another job. I used the Korean Horizons recruiter based in Changwon for my EPIK elementary school job in Gangwon though I haven't been down that way in person. I just found them on the internet and took their offer. Fast prompt service. Of course, it's EPIK that makes drastic last minute changes such as location; not the recruiter as was in my case.
