From Dr. Paul:

    Ten Million Dollars.

Thats how much establishment candidate Mitt Romney raised in one day a couple of weeks ago from well-heeled party bigwigs for his 2012 White House bid.

So today, Im writing to personally ask if you are up for a challenge.

My campaigns grassroots supporters are holding another Money Bomb next Sunday, June 5th, and I believe it offers us an excellent chance to make some headlines of our own.

You see, the Romney campaign thinks no one else can touch their accomplishment.

But honestly, I dont need 10 million dollars to match Mitt Romney.

After all, I dont have to defend a liberal record as governor of Massachusetts.

I dont have to defend against passing a bill just as bad as ObamaCare. Mitt Romney does. So its ok if he has a bit more money than we do.

Hes going to need it!

But it is absolutely critical I have the financial backing to build a first-class operation in early caucus and primary states and show the pundits and press that I am a serious candidate.

I know these so-called gate keepers are part of the Washington problem, but the fact is their either dismissing of candidates or praising them makes a difference to many undecided voters.

An overwhelming showing on June 5th would force the establishment pundits to realize you and I are in this to win it!

So please, visit www.RonPaul2012.com on June 5th and contribute whatever you are able. I know times are tough, but each and every dollar will go toward implementing our plans to run a first-class, winning campaign to restore America now.

Support for my Presidential campaign is growing every day, and Im hopeful that we are in time to save America, rebuild our economy, and hand our children an even better country than the one we inherited.

And on June 5th, we can demonstrate the strength of support for our freedom message.

If you can help my campaign really take off now with a contribution at www.RonPaul2012.com on June 5th, Id certainly appreciate it.

Your donation will allow us to ramp up our efforts in all the key primary states right away. Thats why political experts say that $1 now is worth as much as $5 later on.

And it would prove that our campaign doesnt need fat cat bankers and rich elitists to compete.

When our R3VOLUTION comes together, there is no limit to what we can accomplish, and it is a great source of encouragement to know I can count on you.

Thank you for all your support!

For Liberty,

Ron Paul

I wonder what Austrian economics says about throwing money away on lost causes.

Actually, no. If that is the new grassroots logo, then it seems to be stressing the "R" and "3."

2008 was "rEVOLution" with the emphasis on the "love."

Don't know, but what I do know is what mental health professionals say about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result: they call it "insanity."

So you think Ron Paul running for the Presidency repeatedly and expecting a different result is insane? Smile

Actually, I hope that they have a more strict guideline for whether or not someone is insane.

I'm glad he's running. I love seeing him at the debates. The other candidates try and ignore him but calls them all and the government on its BS.
Good luck to him.

Perhaps he should start a little closer to home. Rand did not do the family brand any good the other day when he said people who attend speeches where violent overthrow of the government is advocated should be jailed or deported. This is, of course, after he himself spoke at a rally where people were waving their guns around and advocating the violent overthrow of the government.

A reasoned and informed voter wouldn't use his son's views against him.
His son is his own man and has his own views. I'm sure Ron Paul loves his son but rarely to family members share the exact ideology. I know I differ than my father's views.
I have family members that are very far right wing and others very liberal. It would be unfair to assume any of their ideological views as mine.

Not use his son's views against him? When both use the label 'libertarian' it's kind of hard not to. My old man was a racist that would put the entire right wing of American political discourse to shame as pikers (Rand Paul/David Duke--is there any real difference?) if he were still around. I know from generational difference.

The more Rep. Rand talks in public, embarrassing himself, the more I am reminded of my high school students who were 110% convinced that their parents' religion was the right one, ordained by god. Who needed to actually think about what it really claimed and if you agreed with it? I probably should have finished that sentence with the word 'think'.
