Hello. I started work very recently at a hagwon, and mostly it's been going well, but I have one class I could use help with if anyone here has any suggestions. The class is:

10 2nd grade students with very low level English.

The problems are that the students aren't motivated and the text we're supposed to use is way more difficult than what they can handle. I have the freedom to go off the text and do mostly what I want. I have them for 80 minutes and can give them the answers to write in the text in 20 minutes and do something useful the rest of the time. My problem is that I don't know how to structure that time in an effective way that helps them and lets me plan quickly and I feel that I need to do so fairly soon or it'll be difficult to get the class back.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
