I signed a 1 year contract which is coming up in July. I would like to continue using it for a few more months, but I don't know if I will actually need one more year. So, is it possible to extend a few months instead of signing up for another year?
This is actually the first time for me to have a cell phone for more than 6 months, lol, so I don't know the process.
If I need to contact LG, does anyone have a support number in English I could call? I know they have English support because a previous student called them for me, but the menu was in Korean, lol. |

1544-0010 is their support number. Wait for the English instructions and you'll be on with an English speaking operator in minutes. Just tell her your situation and she'll sort it out.
It's possible to get a plan on a month-by-month basis which can be canceled anytime. In fact, the only contract I ever signed was for 3 months so I could get my new phone at a discount. As I tell everyone I meet here, LG Telecom is the most foreign friendly phone service in Korea - no 200,000 deposits, superb customer service, good assortment of plans, and no contracts. |

your contract will just continue after the one year period unless you call them to cancel it - like most subscription contract back home. I've been paying the same rate for three years now and haven't done anything regarding renewal. (LG one year contract) |
