I lived in ilsan (Madu) before and was told by another immigration office i could only use the Uijeongbu office for my ARC.....right pain in the ass taking the subway. I'm sure there's a bus from Ilsan but as a newbie at the time I didn't know.

Didn't even know there was an immigration office in jeongbalsan that dealt with this sort of thing

Don't bother going to Uijeongbu. Go to the employment office (across the street from the Rodeo City Officetel) at the end of La Festa. Yes, they only open on Wed, however if you live in Ilsan then this is really the best way. Otherwise you could goto Hwajeong bus station and get the bus to Uijeongbu Wink

I don't get why they would decide Ilsan should travel forever to get to immigration in the Boo. Isn't it closer to go from Ilsan to Mokdong Immigration in Seoul?

I go to uijeongbu a lot.

Takes 30 min from Hoegi station and 45 min from Dongdaemun. An hour from Seoul city hall.
