I just sent some money home. Amazingly it only took 10 minutes to do. I did it before at that same Shinhan bank a year ago, so I brought the paperwork from before. In addition, they didn't request my arc or any pay stubs from my employer. It was real simple.
In the past, I lived in a smaller city in Korea, and they transactions usually took more than an hour. |

Could you guys give some details? I didn't know we could do it at the ATM before at Shinhan. How do we set it up? |

I'm with Busan Bank, and having sent money to two different bank accounts in the past, I just need to show copies of my old forms, fill in a much smaller 're-remittance' form and sign the final release paper and it's done in ten minutes. It's with the same guy every time though, a small branch, and only one employee there speaks English, but it's enough.
I hope it stays this way! |
