Hey,
I live in the Seoul and really in the mood to get away from it all for Choosuk. I'm looking for something affordable and quiet. I have enough of the busy life here. I was thinking Busan, but how expensive is it really? A weekend at the beach would be nice but maybe it'd be busy. Any other ideas?

I wanted to head off to Japan or China but round trip tickets are running 500,000-600,000 W + ... insane.

Go to Jeju-do. It's the perfect time to go there. It's not crowded, the weather is warm but not hot, and its cheaper than it was last month. JEJU baby

Where on Jeju do you recommend? Are there any nice resorts? Should I make reservations before going or just show up? How much does a room usually cost? Is it better just to get a love motel? I don't mind spending a little bit of cash to stay at a nice place, just don't want to blow a fortune.

Too bad flights seem to be sold out. Maybe you can get one departing on the Saturday (wayyyy cheaper) but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I went in February 2008 and managed to find accommodation by chance when I arrived, but my parents went this past April and had limited options. If you can, I suggest booking ahead for at least the first night.

Personally, I'm sticking to a place relatively closer to Seoul for Chuseok as I don't want to be stuck in traffic.
