Hi all:
I am an experienced English language teacher seeking short-term English teaching opportunities within Seoul. I have my BA and a TESOL teaching certificate. I'm in limbo while I'm waiting to hear back for graduate school. Ideally I'm looking for a short term teaching gig- afternoon/ evening classes to elementary through adult students so I can take Korean language classes in the morning from the end of February up through the end of May. My airfare and housing in Seoul is already set.
I also already have a 3 month tourist visa. I'm hedging my bets about the whole Korea thing- Should I go in person and look for jobs in Korea or continue to apply online? I plan to go legit so I would need to do the Japan visa run if I left for Korea now. Can anyone price out the cheapest way to do the visa run? All I need is an employer willing to hand out a short-term (C4) work visa letter and a decent salary to cover living expenses. If you can spare the time to give job leads or advice on the visa run please reply to [email protected]. It is much appreciated. And yes, I'm Korean-American and a native English speaker because some employers care about that sort of thing.... |

A visa run will cost you the price of a plance ticket to Osaka, transportation via subway to and from the embassy and the price of the visa. Maybe 350 000won bare-bones....will depend on what kind of a deal you can get on the flight though.
You can get your visa in an afternoon, so no need to spend the night or anything. |
