I am sure this has been asked, but you know how the search mechanism is virtually useless on here. O.K. I have taught in Korea for 7 years and have done the criminal records check etc. If I leave for a few months and return, will I need to do all the stuff again, even though they would have it on file?
Anyone expereieced this. Thanks |

If you are going to a new place of employment, then yes, you need to go threw the hoops again. If you are staying, you can ask you employer to keep your visa open. Make sure you have a re-entry visa. This is what my brother is doing.
Another way around this would be to get a letter of release from your current school, and have your new school take over your visa. They need to take responsibility of you the very next day. Make sure that immigration gives you another year on your ARC.
If you don't have anything lined up, then you need to go threw the whole process. |

I have a question.
If I have taught in Korea before, and then left, when I go through all the hoops again will I have to do an interview at the Consulate? I heard something about that being only for complete newbies to Korea. True? |
