I noticed that the private tutoring sticky is no more. And any posts regarding private tutoring are removed without explanation.

I assume there was a policy change on these boards. Perhaps I missed the announcement, but is it possible to put up a new sticky regarding the new status of private tutoring posts? I would just like clarification on what is and isn't allowed now.

Thanks.

Yeah I just noticed that my thread was removed. Kind of annoying.

well Sperling does say the board is merely a tool attached to an "enterprise".

Ergo, anything on the board that endangers the financial viability of the "enterprise" is earmarked for eradication and extinction, free speech be damned.

Sperling himself admits this.

Annoying, unfortunate and a range of other adjectives come to mind, but at least it's upfront, transparent and logical if one is a ... bidness-man

Since it's an illegal activity for probably over 90% of the users here, one wouldn't want to be accused of promoting an illegal activity, would one?
(and we all know it would take a lot less for some Korean netizens to raise a ruckus)

this is probably also why any post that discusses the omnipresent prostitution scene in Korea quickly finds its way to the dustbin.

If you have an F visa you can join AFEK and discuss private lessons to your hearts content.

If you don't have an F visa you can't teach private lessons or join the AFEK site to discuss them.

As for Dave's, eh it is what it is. I'll give him this, he doesn't pretend that it is what it isn't.

Well perhaps the mods should put an announcement in this forum about no private tutoring threads? As an F2 visa holder myself, I can legally do it...but if Dave doesn't want to host that type of discussion, he should just say so.
