I have noticed the following posting patterns in the Dave's ESL Cafe Korean discussion forum:
Morning Time/Afternoon Time: Lots of postings from hagwon teachers just waking up and/or bored public school teachers with a lots of free time on their hands to debate how racist Koreans are or vent about how they are being denied their six weeks of paid vacation. High traffic time.
Late Afternoon/Early Evening: Public school teachers commute home, head off to pump iron, meet their friends for kalbi, movies, dates etc. Hagwon teachers at work. Low traffic time.
Late Evening: Public school teachers return home, shower, eat dinner, getting on the computer again on last time. Hagwon teachers arrive home from work. High traffic time.
Weekends: Depends, but early afternoons are generally the busiest times I've noticed. Perhaps this due to many English teaching waking up from their previous nights out whooping it up/getting drunk around this time and logging on to Dave's to check their posts and possibly make a few new ones. Many teachers choose not to spend any time at all on Dave's on weekends, instead choosing to fill up their free time with "adventures".
Is it safe to say that this a fair assessment? |
