Since you don't have an answer, I'll take a stab. I've used them a few times. My wife (Korean) just called up a moving service and they did it. They all seemed the same. Prices similar. Last time, I was paying, so I wanted it cheap. We packed most everything, but there was plenty they had to box up in their re-usable plastic boxes. They moved stuff from Gangnam to Yongin. About 45 mins drive. They also needed a lift truck in Yongin to the 3rd floor. 70,000 extra. It was all under 400,000. What we had fit in 2 pick-ups. If we'd moved within Gangnam without a lift truck, it would have been less than 300,000.
One thing about Korean movers, you are supposed to provide them with a meal if they are working during meal time. I didn't know that the time before last. The movers got to the place we were going and said how exhausted and hungry they were. We finally got the hint that they wanted food. They later said in Korea, we have to give them a meal. Maybe someone has a different story, but that's what they said. But we had them hired for the full day from about 9 am till about 9 pm. We were 2 families then with a lot more junk. That was 2 box trucks and a pickup and well over a million won. They packed it all and I wasn't paying for it.
There is a guy on the Web I've seen who claims he does moving services and speaks English. Maybe with Eden Realty. Can't remember. But he posts on the various job sites, but his posts are deleted pretty quickly. That's all I can tell you. |
