We're trying to organize one or more gatherings of expats and Koreans who are interested in getting to know each other, discussing environmental and sustainability issues and learning more about what's going on in Korea.

Here's a link to the Korean International Green Group, but for those of you who might want to participate but aren't facebook users, please reply to this thread or PM me.

Cheers, Duncan

If you say that you're gonna put food coloring in beer and make St. Patty's "Green Drinks"... I bet you'll have a line.

Cuz... "Green Drinks" sounds like the stuff my mom used to make us drink, which had the consistancy of pond-slime (cabbage, broccoli, alfalfa, basil, etc)

Where are these mostly held? I'm interested but I'm up in the countryside north of Seoul by about 2 hours.

We haven't actually yet set a time or location, but it'll be somewhere in Seoul (possibly a picnic by a river or in a park, or maybe a vegetarian restaurant), on a Saturday or a Sunday in June.

Ironically I myself won't be able to attend, as I'm still awaiting my UK CRC. They've got my application but now I have to track down the midwife who was there at my birth, get a notarized copy of her British Midwifey and Home Birthing Association certificate to prove that she was actually a licensed baby-puller, then get an ordained member of the British Faith Community (Vicar, Minister, Mullah or Rabbi) to attest to the midwive's mental and spiritual well-being at the time of delivery and confirm that she was not merely seeing an apparation, vision or related disturbance in the time-space continuum.

Given that all of this has to be done over the usual British automated telephone answering system, you can understand why it might take some time.

Holy crap, are you serious? Can't you just... like... show up and say "I was born, I swear... no really... you can pinch my arm and everything." They should add that option to the automated telephone service Very Happy

If it's in the northern part of Seoul, or Gangnam, I'll probably be up for it Smile

Hey. it's just occured to me that there's one question the students will always be able to answer.

"Hey kids, what's the word for a Muslim religious teacher?"...
