I'm going to Fukuoka for a combined break/visa run. I'm wondering if Fukuoka duty-free has Cuban cigars or champagne(the real stuff not cheesy fakes)? I don't have a credit card so I need to know in order to bring a bit more cash with me.
Also, is 'rendezvous de amis' a good bar for champagne? Can anyone recommend a good bar for champagne?
thanks,

To your first question...no. Last time we went through in both directions there were no cigars(uity free at both ends is shockingly bad) and I'm pretty sure about champers as well. |

Thanks.
Can you recommend any good restaurants/bars in Fukuoka?
Which place would be better to stay at for easy access to good bars/restaurants: the area beside the port or beside the embassy?

Near the embassy for sure but I found near the railway station has a great selection of cheap hotels that are connected to the subway.
The best place to get out is the Happy Cock in Tenjin(I think???).
Have fun |
