The Korean Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the company filing suit against Choi Jin-Shil, the actress who committed suicide last fall. They sued her for compensation for "The model's failure to maintain an adequate image" which was a "a breach of the hiring contract." Her "failure to maintain an adequate image" was when she appeared on TV and in the news with bruises on her face from her husband's alleged abuse. Her family will have to pay damages to the company because she failed to "advertise with dignity and happiness."
Looks to me like the Korean Supreme Court is saying it's your fault if your husband beats you. Sparkling.
