I need to renew my passport in korea in order to travel...I was wondering what the necessary steps I would need to get my passport renewed in korea
In regards to getting the passport photo, is the States really picky about where you get your passport photo? can I just get my photo done in one of those photo booths?
how long is the process of getting it renewed in korea? I will be leaving at the end of july. |

You can do it through the US embassy in Seoul. Be sure to get round-trip service through one of the couriers. Instructions are on the US embassy website.
You need a photograph to US passport standards, but most photo places I've seen know how to do "US Visa" photos, and some actually have the poster from the US embassy hanging on their wall.
Service is shockingly quick, less than two weeks turnaround in my experience, but you're cutting it close. |
