| Name some of your favourite Hofs in Seoul. Not western type bars/pubs like Gecko's but just the regular run of the mill Hof-type places that you've sunk a beer or two in. Why do you like them? I've already been to a few in and around shinchon/myeong-dong but couldn't tell you their names since I don't remember, but at one little place I got to choose two little snacks to go with every beer that I ordered. Now that was nice. |

Free Crocodiles in Shinchon makes their own beer, some of it dark and quite tastilcious. No free crocs tho. (But you can sign a petition there to free all the crocs.)
There;s another groovy little hole in the wall (actually under the floor), if you head up from Shinchon towards Ehwa. But I can't remember the name or where it is, but if you ask The Beaver he'll tell you.
I don't know if it's still there, but also in Shinchon around the Blue Monkey area there is/was a place called The Cure, and yup, the owner is a Cure fan and has lotsa great unreleased songs by them, plus videos. Also lots of other great tunes from that era. (he spent a lot of time in London)
Cheers! and support your local bar owners! |

There's a place like that in Hongdae, not quite a hof, called Two Turn. Mainly just a place for college students to listen to loud hip-hop, sit on shiny red vinyl couches, get drunk cheap and marvel at the big glorious Snoop Dogg mural on the wall.
Same place? |

Nope, sadly not. Your place in Hongdae sounds pretty cool though. Could you give me specific directions how to get there? |
