Hello,

I am looking into changing jobs and moving to a public school position. My current job is OK but I'm going a little crazy there and want a change.

I plan to quit my current position at the sixth month/half way mark (August 9th). The public school position starts on September 1st.

What exactly am I going to have to do to make this a smooth transition?

I have a few questions here:

1. How to I go about canceling my current visa so I can get a new E2? Or can I not get out of my E2 without a letter of release from my current employer?

3. To get a new E2 do I have to get all my documents again? Or is there anything I can skip?

2. Can my current employer do anything to screw me over?

I'm not sure how to do this and would REALLY appreciate someone giving me a step by step on this one.

Thanks!!!
