Granted the air anywhere here is often bad.

However, why haven't the owners of 3 Alley refused to do any cleaning of their air conditioners.

Don't even look at the air conditioners when you're there. They'll make you want to leave faster than the guy sitting next to you smoking the stogie!

Considering the amount of smoking going on in that place, the maintenance on those things would be a weekly project. The food is great there unless your eating at the bar, in which case, everything you eat will taste like it has been seasoned with an ashtray.

Why don't bars use air purification or at least pull in outdoor air through fan powered vents? So stuffy, polluted, and low oxygen level with a bunch of people packed into a room with no ventilation. I couldn't stand to be bartender if the place didn't have fresh air circulation running. All they got to do is pull in outside air or use a purifier. If I built a bar, it's be open air or with windows, fans, and spaciousness.

An open air bar is a great idea until cold weather hits.

Stuffiness in bars..it's why I always hated Seoul pub in spring or fall. The windows are open letting in some crisp, but not cold air. Some lady decides to sit by the windows to get the "lovely view" of the street below and the window gets closed. I sit there breathing recycled and smoky air. My pulse quickens. I begin to perspire...My business leaves.

A stuffy bar is nice for awhile when it's 0 degrees outside. When it's 15 degrees...not so much.

I just figured with all the money 3 Alley is making they could at least either replace their air conditioners or have them cleaned.

I've been there a few times for food and always found it pretty decent.

Then I went last week and it may be my last time. The service was complete and utter shit. Not only did they screw up our order, but they were completely rude when my friend asked for another drink. It was totally flat, as if it had been sitting out all day. When he pointed this out, they gave him crap, like he was lying or something. They then argued with him when he asked for a replacement. It's the closest I've come in a long time to just walking out of a place before my meal.

I stopped going to that bar 3 years ago. The staff prowls around looking at your beer constantly, and immediately asks you to fill up or get the hell out.

Jerks. Total jerks.

Wouldn't care if that bar disappeared.

Yeah, I have to say the place isn't the friendliest. The new upstairs sports bar seems unfinished and the TV reception wasn't great.

The rude service might be attributable to the owner, who seems to have a real chip on his shoulder.

I've been there a few times and never had any problems with the staff, just some of the weird customers.

But yeah, if any staff at a bar was pushy with me to hurry up and order a drink (and actually said I'd have to leave if I didn't order one immediately), I'd never go there again.

That's strip club level service. But without the strippers.

That's the NZ guy Bernie... The other owner Albert (who owns Sam Ryan's upstairs) has always been a great guy when I've been there...

On a par with the previous owner?

I won't disagree with the service.

The failure to show any respect for the customers by not replacing or cleaning the air conditioners is an affront on my our health!

I've only been there once but had the same experience with the service: two wait staffs (one waiter, one waitress) hovered around our table, asking us much too frequently if we'd like refills on our beers, acting upset whenever we said no.
