anyone recommend any? I went to the one in Sangsu area (sidestreet one) that's supposedly quite famous/popular, usually has lots of people lining up outside but didn't think too much of it.

Any other good places that you know of?

There`s one in Hyehwa called Kobe. You could also try Ichon dong`s Japanese enclave.

There's one called Sun noodles. Actually it's two (that I know of). There's one in Itaewon next to the Itaewon Hotel and another near the Hongik University gate (can't remember the exact location on this one though). A Korean once told me that this restaurant is famous, but I don't remember the reasoning behind that statement. It's very good nonetheless.

Another place is at the Gangnam CGV. Japanese Noodle City I think. These are all over Seoul and Gyeonggi-do.

Yeah that's the one I went to, the one that's famous.... it was ok but I expected better after all the hype about it.

I like the one near Itaewon hotel. The only bad part was when a little kid came in and said (quite loudly) to his mom "I don't want to sit next to the foreigner!". Anyway, other than that, it was good!

In Apgujeong, there's one a good one. It's in the alley behind the Uniqlo (across the street from Galleria). The place is a hole in a wall but it has good Japanese ramen compared to the other places I've tried here.

The best one in Korea is located at Ehwa womens university. It's called "Ajimoto"

It's on a side street right next to the large building/shopping mall - the only one of its kind in that area.

Exit the subway headed towards ehwa main gate. Walk down on the left side of the street. Pass the first side street to your left. The second side street to your left will be just past the big shopping mall building with water fountain in front. Take a left down that street. Walk until you're almost adjacent to the big shopping mall. Now look to your right - you'll see some very steep steps going down into a little alley. Ajimoto's is right there, with a sign in RED letters. It's not in Engrish, but you can't miss it. There's a little ice cream shop on the main street just next to the steps.

Sadly, my favorite joint just closed down last week...
It was in Gangnam on the hill side - between CGV and Cinus... up an alley that was across from "W" burger and then to the left.

It was excellent... real noodles and the eggs were just right... But, it was off the main strip and kinda hard to find - they never had much business.

The other good place i knew in Hongdae is closed now too... javascript:emoticon('Evil or Very Mad')

Next time i find a decent place i'll share the info - good restaurants need the business, or they just up and disappear in the night.
