Interestingly, one of their main clients for the North Korean "body chatters" are South Korean men, Chun said. |

Not even the worst of it. I did some research for a NGO a while back on this exact topic. There are ridiculous amounts of women that are sold by their parents, other family members, neighbours or family friends to traffickers. $1500 is a bit high - that tends to be for the younger women (16 - 22). The price for older than that sinks dramatically down to a couple of hundred. Of course, regardless that a fair amount are sold by acquaintances they still get deported back to NK and have to suffer the detention centres when they get there. |
