To those who know: what is there to do in Jamsil?
I have a date on Friday and we'll be eating dinner at a nice restaurant in Jamsil. I expect dinner to be done around 8:30-9ish... what would you recommend in that area for after dinner?
My date and I are not Korean. Is there a nice park (not Olympic)? Have you been anywhere in that area that you would strongly recommend? If not Jamsil, what about Gangnam?
Thanks!

I'm actually thinking about Lotte World, but is there anything fun there aside from the rides? Something classy... It's a big area... there's gotta be something. |

There is ice skating rink, bowling alley, shooting range, and all sorts of other stuff inside the shopping mall there. Just walk around if nothing else. I doubt you'll get bored. |

More than likely if your date is Korean and from Seoul then she's been there once or twice before.
You'll score points if you a keen interest in the place and Korean culture in general. Ask a few questions about the language.
I thought there was a mexican place across the way from Lotte World.
Take a walk around the small park there which has a nice lake to the best of my memory.
If you choose the ice skating route, check out the pistol range on the same level. It might be gone however.
If all else fails, try a baseball game just about 10 min. away. I'm pretty sure Doosan Bears are based there.

You can walk or catch a taxi to Hanggang park. There's a couple of boat/restaurants and river cruises may be an option. You need to get the timing right though. There's a water taxi that can take you pretty much anywhere on the river.
If she's into old dead people underground, there's two Bangi era tomb parks there. Nice place for a picnic.
Seokchon lake is the best idea. Have it as a iceskating backup. Along with the shooting range.
Songpa area is best during the daytime imo. One of the best places to live in the city, but not exactly the best dating spot. |
