NATO soldier killed in firefight in Afghanistan |

The whole topic seems to be a Nato soldier died, a = 1.
He might have killed 20 Afghans. Who knows, but it appears that the loss of one is a recipe for disaster as we have no idea as to how many he might have killed before he died.
Monte Christo, WW2. The USA Texas Battilion/ regiment lost approx 1000 men in the space of 2 hrs (Man, they had balls)(They won to the otherside, that is some courage. less than 100 made it back out of the whole unit). The New Zealand commanding General Freyberg, is supposed to have made the claim that 1000 kiwis will be the limit of his endevour.
When he made that number, (Yeah they died or were casulties) he was supposed to have said the hell with it, we will bomb them out. How many German soldiers died? No idea.
Nobody seemed to care in the media.
Today, they seem to judge how a war is going by the number of us vs the medias assessment of value. Oh, the number seems to be steeped in our balance.
It makes me laugh these issues. How many palestinian prisoners is Gilad Shalit worth? The going quote is more than one. I always laugh when I read that. Al Jazeerah seems to think its normal that one Israeli is worth more than one Palestinian.
When did the media start determing a persons worth? Isn't that a stupid issue for someone to decide. The value of a persons life and how many is a society supposed to lose before they give in and accept defeat or win.
