I have to entertain one of my sister's friends who is visiting Seoul on business. She's staying in Myeong dong. I'm going to take her out for dinner tonight and was wondering whether anyone had any suggestions for a good galbi restaurant nearby? |

There are like over 100 restaurants in Myeong-dong and lots of beef restaurants among them.. you are sure to find one. Be prepared to pay, though! |

Kalbi is great, but MyeongDong is famously known for their Kal-Guk-Su. They have a couple Kal-Guk-Su restaurants and they always have a lineup out the door on weekends. Their kimchi is also real spicy and loaded with garlic Check it out |

I had ssamgyeupsal in a nice restaurant in Myeong-dnong; the ajumma was really sweet to my wife and I, and although it was a bit pricy (20,000 won total for the meat and rice), I enjoyed it.
I'm sure just about any restaurant in Myeong-dong will have excellent food, but it'll be overpriced since they cater to the Japanese tourists down there. Why not walk for 5 minutes and eat near Namdaemun market, where it'll be a few thousand won cheaper? |
