The 20 questions genie.
-he definitely logs your IP address.
-his strategy is really bad, eg "Is your character French?", straight after you just told him he's Korean.
-he got Mart Poom after 15 questions. I you know who Mart Poom is , without googling I will give you a baek won.
-my students go absolutely nuts trying to trick him.
-he said "your shadow", when the students said me.
-he even gets himself.
So, what is your theory on how he does it? If the engine used better strategy it would probably get most people in 10 questions.  |

Crap. It got Hitler, Jack the Ripper and Trotsky but failed abjectly on Mark Graham, Charles Upham, Ernest Rutherford, Douglas Bader, the Kray twins, Richard Pearse and Buck Shelford.
That's too many minutes of my life I will never get back. |

| Yea, it sucks at NZ people. It didn't get Ed Hillary or John Kirwan. It's good at Korean celebs, though. |

| It is a very simple program. In my high school computer science class we had to write a similar program called "is it a monkey?" It is a simple binary tree. 2 to the 20th power is over a million distinctions it can make. |

I think most british or irish people who like football know who he is, doubt there are too many estonians on this board but i'd say he is fairly well known there |

It can be quite elegant in its deductions, sometimes. It got Kim Jong Il in 12 questions today.
Other times it can be totally spastic. Asking if your character is French right after he just ascertained it was Korean. It also sucks at people who aren't Asian, European or American(both of them.) |

In our program, it learned every time you beat it. You would input the new thing and a new distinct question for that thing or in this case person. The questions are asked down that path in the same order entered. The program isn't smart. It doesn't think. It is a simple input/output program. It demonstrates the effectiveness of sorting applications. |

This one learns, too. If it is miles off, you can input who you were thinking of. |

| I defeated him, but it was quite easy, i just picked henry sheflin (Kilkenny hurling player) if he had of gotten him i would be more than a little surprised |

Everytime I played I was always asked if I were either Brazilian, American, European or Asian. American, European, Asian I understand but what is up with Brazil?
It sucks hard on hockey players. It knows the big names but that is about it. I picked Guy Lafluer ( not a small time player by any means ) and it didn't even come close. I chose him as my guy 10 times in a row, each time filling out the questionaire at the end, it still couldn't come up with him. LOL |
