I am teaching at a uni in Seoul and have been offered the chance of a 100% discount on the MA TESOL that the school runs. I was considering starting an MA online soon with a school in the UK.

I'm just wondering what you would do in my position? take the free MA even there is a chance it might not be recognised in other countries? or pay for an online course?

take the free one! If it turns out not to be recognized, then you will have lost nothing but time. If that happens, then you will already know the material, and have papers written for a more recognized course.
