For those interested in MMA, UFC 99 will be aired Sunday at 8 p.m. on the cable channel Super Action.

I believe the main fight is Mirko Cro Cop Vs. Mostapha Al Turk.

Rich Franklin and Wanderlei "axe murderer" Silva is the main event at a catchweight of 195 lbs.

Should be a good fight and I love the axe murdered but I think Franklin may be too smart of a fighter for him.

If you mean UFC 99 (this Saturday USA time - Sunday in Korea)

Cro Cop is fighting Al Turk

Rich Franklin and Wanderlei "axe murderer" Silva is the main event at a catchweight of 195 lbs.

Should be a good fight and I love the axe murdered but I think Franklin may be too smart of a fighter for him.

It's actually a UFC event, no a Pride event--as that promotion is now defunct.

UFC 99: The Comeback

And there is no way in hell Dana White would have the main draw be Cro Cop vs. Al Turk; barring dominance in other promotions, Cro Cop's showing in the UFC was pathetic. Al-turk is a bit worse (for Dana's pocketbook)... a no name among casual MMA fans.

The cards are as follows:

Main Card:
Rich Franklin vs. Wanderlei Silva (WAR WANDY!) <-- THE main fight (a catchweight bout... not sure how I feel about these)
Cheick Kongo (subbed in for Heath Herring) vs. Cain Velasquez (this match would have a likelier chance of being the main fight over Cro Cop vs. Al-turk--seeing as how they are pretty high up on the heavyweight contender pecking order)
Mike Swick vs. Ben Saunders
Marcus Davis vs. Dan Hardy* (a bad blood match!)
Mirko Filipovic vs. Mostapha Al-turk*

Preliminary Card:
Terry Etim* vs. Justin Buscholz
Dennis Siver vs. Dale Hartt
Paul Taylor* vs. Peter Sobotta
Paul Kelly* vs. Rolando Delgado
Denis Stojnic vs. Stefan Struve
John Hathaway* vs. Rick Story

I've put an asterisk * next to each of the British fighters--lots of brits flooding MMA these days!

The Franklin Silva match will be the one I'm most excited for. There is no fighter out there that cares more about his fans than Silva and aims to give an awesome performance EVERY time. I'm also hoping Cro Cop gets back in his game--this man used to call his legs "Hospital" and "Graveyard".

I'm not so sure about this. They both NEED a spectacular finish to remain relevant. I think it's going to be an all out stand-up war--a real brawl. Personally, I hope it ends with Wanderlei's knees in the clinch. Not that Franklin needs any more knees to the face Cool

BTW, thanks Yaya for the TV information.

edit: I also want to see Wand beat Franklin because I'm pretty sure that would send him on the fast-track to taking on Anderson Silva.
