According to my laptops diagnostic program it's hard drive needs replacing. It's still under warranty but I can't find the receipt I got when I bought the thing.
A friend of mine tells me that so long as I registered my laptop with hp when I bought it I should be okay. Is he correct and does hp have an English customer service number for Korea?

My laptop is a hp Pavilion dv6803tu that I only bought in November.

Most companies, including HP (I think), tracks warranty status by serial number. You should be fine.
