|
|
Ok long story short finally got my CRC from winnipeg with the vulnerable sectors....
but now I need the apostille but from what I have read Canadians can't get an apostille...
now it sounds like I should be able to get it done when I get to Korea...
but I would prefer to have my visa before arriving, my fiancee has all his req docs and is all ready to head over and looking for couple contracts they seem to want the visa first.....
So my question is "IS THERE A WAY TO GET MY CRC APOSTILLE OR WHATEVER SHOULD BE DONE WHILE IN NEW ZEALAND?"
We thought we were all good to get back when we left Korea in 07 and then they went and changed everything so that has left me the CND outside her country scrambling to get all my documents....
found below info here
http://www.hikorea.go.kr/pt/InfoDetailR_en.pt?categoryId=2&parentId=382&catSeq=385&showMenuId=374&visaId=E2
Issuance of proof of (lack of) criminal records
※ The records must be affixed with the relevant nations Apostille
※ Nationals of countries that have not signed the Apostille treaty, (Canada, China, etc) must get their records verified by their local Korean consulate and those already in Korea who were issued their criminal records from their consulates in Korea have no need for an Apostille
※ In case applicant stay in Korea and is sent Criminal Background Check by mail, Or one's entry to Korea is imminent, the document notarized by one's embassy in Korea may be exceptionally acceptable.
※ Immigration office will not recognize the criminal records issued by online website or E-mail notarized by consulate's office in Korea as a valid criminal records.
Has anyone else had to deal with this...can't believe I'm the only CND who went traveling between contract!

You'll have to enter Korea on a tourist visa and get it notarised at the embassy in Seoul (or the consulate in Busan)... and then do a visa run. Either that, or go all the way back to Canada from NZ before coming to Korea. |
