Would you consider editing offensive words the same way cable television stations do? So, instead of "[Mod Edit]" we get something like the following:

whippersnapper
joker
silly goose
goofball
turkey

Bronski,

Thanks for the suggestion (I once considered using completely opposite words in meaning for different TOS-breakers), but we purposely use a very noticeable edit. A [Mod Edit] in someone's post is the same as if we sent a warning PM to that person (and also to anyone who quotes someone using the words). So, if anyone sees that in their posts, they should know they are on notice.
